Nonku Phiri Raises The Bar…Again
South African vocalist Nonku Phiri along with Mr.Carmack of Soulection feature on Branko’s single Let Me Go. Straight off his September 2015 solo debut album ATLAS, the video finally dropped and was shot right here in the Johannesburg suburb of Vrededorp, Old Park Station and Yeoville Ridge.
DirectorFrancisco Neffe says that he tried to reflect the idea behind the lyrics through the characters, dancing, car rides and light and that he wanted to create a metaphor for letting go of something in every shot.
The video features dancers from Soweto’s Skeleton Pantsula and Orange Farm’s RealAction dance crews. Check our sister slaying it in Tshivenda and English lyrics in the video below.
